Food Truck Rally

Spending a Saturday evening trying new food in new places is the way to go. I'm still trying to explore St. Petersburg and find new things to love about this growing city. Yesterday, my sister, niece and I went to a food truck rally that also happened to be serving some wine (yum). I love these small community gatherings and being able to meet so many friendly people! Our first stop was at the Flying Sliders truck. It was amazing! They have cute little gourmet burgers that packs a huge punch with each bite. We tried 3 different sliders for only $10. We also bounced to other food trucks and tents to try other things like zucchini fries and grabbed some wine. I'm still a newbie when it comes to wine, but yesterday I learned I do not like dry wine and I DO like lambrusco. It was such a nice sunshine-y day to walk around and listen to the live band while trying new food...

Roasted Eggplant with basil pesto

Asian style pulled pork.  Don't mind my un-manicuted nails! I think it gives it character? no?

My sister had the eggplant slider and my niece ordered the Green chile meatball. yum!

.... And then it poured out of nowhere and we were stuck underneath a tent for half an hour. At least we were surrounded by good company. Oh, and wine.
