005 // Sunday Breakfast

My Sunday morning was made up of homemade apple pie granola, flecks of sunlight and the aroma of our wonderfully fragrant Christmas tree.

Apple Pie Granola Recipe

3 cups of rolled oats
1/4
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup dried apples

oatty sugary bits.
1/4 cup flour
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats


Mix oats, cinnamon, allspice, sugar and nuts together.
Toss in melted butter and syrup.
Spread mixture over cookie sheet.
In a separate bowl, mix oatty sugary bits ingredients together. Make small clumps then sprinkle over granola mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes (or until crispy) at 275 degrees, stirring occasionally. 

Add dried apples in the mix.

  3. Yum yum and yum! My husband is so into apple pie and anything healthy in general. I think he'd love this... although "healthy" is a bit in question, I guess. :-)
