Bike Riding Things

Happy first day of spring!

While living in a subtropical climate, we didn't get much of the dreary, gray and cold days during the winter. It feels like we skipped over that season completely. Even so, we do have our share of bare trees, browned leaves and sticks in place of flowers.

But now that we are getting closer to the sun again, life is being restored to those dulled plants. All I can think about now is taking out Lulu and zooming down the streets, passing by budding wildflowers and creating the wind that sways the newly sprouted leaves. Or taking her downtown and filling her new basket (or this one to put on her back) with fresh produce from the Farmers Market, or exploring new neighborhoods, or riding alongside the waves near the beaches with one of these backpacks in tow.

Bike riding is one of my favorite things to do. It’s a great way to clear my mind and feel alive with the wind blowing in my hair and the freedom to ride anywhere.

If you need a bike, Bri at Designlovefest is giving away that Linus bike on her blog! Such a great giveaway, Linus bikes are so pretty! Head over there and enter to win one!

  2. My husband keeps saying he'll build me a bike. I told him the colors I wanted, and how there has to be a wicker basket, and of course a bell. Haha, I think he's sorry he offered! :)

  5. I like riding, but I don`t use it much for actual transport because I`m too nervous about riding on the roads. I suppose I should try and make better use of Ottawas bike baths. But I miss those childhood days when it was cool to just ride our bikes on the sidewalk :)
