By Candlelight

Some of my favorite things as of late are these new little pieces sitting on top of my dresser:

- a manzanita branch, that now holds my necklaces.
- a shell found when Joshua and I went kayaking in Ft. Desoto
- a new Araceli Designs candle, hand poured locally and made with natural soy wax.

These autumn nights are getting a bit cooler and creeping in earlier, making it the perfect time to light candles. It’s lovely to watch the flame dance in the glow of its own shadow and warm the room with wonderful fall scents, sometimes Pumpkin Cake or in this case, Gingerbread House.

Araceli Designs has a lineup of lovely fall and winter scented soy candles, which includes the two I mentioned. I love supporting local businesses and adding natural elements into my home. If you do too, like their Facebook page for exclusive offers and stock up on these for yourself, or if you’re really generous, gift them to your friends for the upcoming holidays.

Burn them or leave the lid open, either way your room will be a wonderfully fragrant reminder of the season we're in.

*Although these candles were generously given to me, all opinions here are my own.

  1. I'd be hungry all the time with that amazing candle. Guess I need to stay AWAY, haha! Love your pretty seashell too. I'm that person that gets stopped in the line at airports because her bag is full of collected rocks and shells. My collection might outgrow my space someday!

  4. Gorgeous photos, especially of the manzanita tree. I can practically smell the candles now because I have one of my own going! Candles are absolutely perfect for this time of the year.
