Drifting Along Fort Desoto

It's been 3 months overdue, but I’m thankful for a weeklong visit from Joshua. We were determined to do as much as we can together since we don’t know when we’ll see each other again. So on Sunday, we took out my dad's kayak, with his makeshift umbrella stands, to Fort DeSoto. We paddled around the mangroves, awed at the big beach houses lining the shore and just spent some much needed quality time together. As we sailed away from the shore, it was quiet, except for sounds of our paddles and we dreamed of the days like these. Days where we can wake up early in the morning, drift away from all we know and do nothing but be together
