** A snippet about this sign below ** |
Thank you Tropical Storm Isaac for not making an appearance this weekend so we could still party on for my niece's belated birthday (you might recall the key lime cake I baked her a couple weeks ago).
We've planned a soap making party for her at Milagro's in downtown St. Petersburg. Very awesome place. There's over 50 different kinds of handmade soaps on display that will delight both your visual and olfactory senses.
We all walked around smelling and looking at all the pretty soap designs. You've got to choose which scent you like for your soap. But if you don't have the time to make your own soap, you can also buy a slice of these on display too.
There were so many scents to choose from. I ended up choosing this Regatta one, smells wonderful!
Oh! Margaritas were served as well. Not for the kids though!
The "make your own soap" concept is a great idea for people of all ages. I wish I had birthday parties like this growing up, but maybe I can next year! You can also personalize it for someone special; they make a great gift idea for any occasion.
And here's my almost-finished soap! I've been doodling little whales ever since the sixth grade on everything. So why not on soap?
The soap making party was awesome and so were the ladies who worked there. It was a great place for a party, I know my niece had so much fun. So if you ever get the chance, whether you're in the area, bored, want to try something new, take your dog out of the house (they are dog-friendly!) or visiting from out of town, you have to stop in!

** One customer came by the table and took some snacks on the table. Pretty funny the facial communication that happened. So we had to make this sign.
Interesting idea, I've never heard of a soap party!
